At least one month before starting your diet, start gently ramping up an exercise program that covers the four types of exercise described earlier in this chapter: stretching, strength, cardiovascular and endurance. In the beginning do the strength and cardiovascular exercises on machines at a health/fitness club (the staff will teach you the non-injurious use of the equipment).
