Spiritually, Where Are You?

Excerpt from Introduction

If you are following an organized religion and are truly satisfied with that religion, then this book is not intended for you. You probably do not want to change much right now. That is fine with me.

This book is more for those who are searching out spiritual ideas but not in the context of organized religions. I'll point out what I consider the good, the bad and the mediocre in popular spiritual ideas, tools, methods and systems. You can see how and why I evaluate things to allow you to make informed choices for yourself. I shall not discuss conventional religions.

In this book, you will find a wealth of ideas that contradict popular spiritual thinking. For those ideas dear to you, you may become quite indignant upon reading my words. That is good! It is the first step in change, to acknowledge you are upset. Can you take the next step? That next step is to accept that when you are indignant, you are not loving what is. You have work to do to change yourself. Consider this a growth opportunity.

Excerpt from Be Your Own Therapist: " The result of our people-judgments is that we often throw away someone's ideas because they are voiced by the wrong person or because we don't totally agree with all their ideas."
